Here is a little more about me:
As a licensed mental health counselor, my goal is to create trust-based relationships as well as a safe and non-judgmental space for my clients. I tailor my therapy techniques and interventions based on each individual's unique needs and backgrounds. I use both humanistic and evidence-based treatment techniques including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Solution-focused Therapy, Mindfulness, Existential therapy and Person-Centered therapy.
I obtained my bachelors degree in Philosophy at Bogazici University, Turkey. After completing my studies, I took a year off to volunteer and contribute to my community in Turkey. In 2015, I received my M.Ed degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Kent State University. During my studies, I completed my practicum at Kent State University's Counseling and Human Developmental Center. Prior to my graduation I also worked as a counselor trainee at a non-profit agency serving children, youth and families. My most recent work experience includes working with adults, youth and children coming from a variety of backgrounds at a community mental health setting.
