Mark Biangmano M.A., LMHC

Mark graduated with a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Iowa in 2020 and is currently a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Iowa. He graduated in 2018 with a Bachelors degree in Psychology and a minor in Human Relations from the University of Iowa.

Mark provides individual and group counseling to adults. His previous experience has involved working with people in the correctional system. Mark also has training in working with people who identify as transgender and has experience writing letters of support for HRT or GRS. Additionally, Mark has experience providing counseling services to caregivers of person's navigating the complexity of an ALS diagnosis.  Mark has experience working with anxiety, depression, self-harm, suicidal ideation and substance abuse along with various other concerns.

Mark works from a cognitive behavioral theoretical orientation and focuses heavily on the client counselor relationship. Mark also emphasizes a holistic approach and works to meet the needs of each individual when considering interventions. 

​

Mark also has worked as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Iowa from 2018-2020. Mark is currently a member of American Counseling Association. He has given workshops on mindfulness, anxiety, and social media as well as being available to speak on various mental health topics.
